History
Nashkel is a small town just inside the northern border of Amn.

Captain Brage
Brage was a highly-respected captain of the guard in the Nashkelgarrison. He was driven mad by a cursed sword and killed several people in a murderous rage. His sanity was returned after the party answered his riddle correctly, breaking the cursed sword's hold over him. He was returned, alive, to the Amnish army, where they will handle his punishment. The cursed sword was given to the priests at the local temple, who said they will send it away for safe keeping.
Oublek
Oublek is the acting stand-in (sit-in) Captain of the Amnish army in Nashkel. He rewarded the party for returning Captain Brage, and provided them with safe passage into the Nashkel Mines.
Minsc
When asked about his past, Minsc proudly announces that he is a berserker warrior from the nation of Rasheman in the utter east. He is currently undertaking his dejemma, a ritual journey to manhood, and is seeking adventure and glory in battle. So far Minsc considers his most notable experience in the world abroad, to be the acquisition of his animal companion 'Boo', a creature that he claims is a miniature giant space hamster. Apparently such things do exist in the Realms, but Minsc has surely taken too many blows to the head.
Minsc was brought to Nashkel to find out what was happening with the iron in the mines. He has joined up with the party, in an attempt to give evil a swift kick in the backside.
